My village exploded in population after the economy rebounded in the early 2010s.
Prior to that, various of our citizens left when factories were rapidly shut down & taken overseas after the 1960s.
Recently a single of the biggest factors I noticed in people moving here has been the football arena that was built next to our interstate exit. Luckily, various attendees flock into our city before, after, & during weekends of the most important games at the arena. Now the people own a growing hospitality industry because of the hotels needed to house all of the sports attendees. And because of the smaller atmosphere in the entire area, some of the surrounding cities have seen people flocking to our city limits to try to experience a quieter existence. I’m glad because we’re halfway between a tiny village & a city now, but still small enough where it doesn’t feel congested the same as a metropolitan city often does. All of us even have modern medical cannabis dispensaries around the area that have opened in the previous few years after our state passed a law used for legalizing cannabis for medical use about 6 years ago. The newest medical cannabis dispensary in my village has the best damn cannabis flower products in the entire state. Since the people I was with and I only have a few seed-to-sale cannabis companies statewide, there isn’t nearly as much competition for flower quality as you’d expect for a state this size. The existing companies were far more interested in maximizing profit rather than producing quality whole flower cannabis products for customers that keep people coming back for more. I want my cannabis flower products to be perfectly cured well & to feel sticky to the touch.
