I knew that while the people I was with and I were in the COVID-19 pandemic, most local stores were offering free delivery within a certain distance from the business.
What entirely surprised me, was that the medical marijuana dispensary was a single of those suppliers that were offering delivery.
I was getting supply of medical marijuana products for our mother. She wouldn’t leave the house, even if I was using a mask & so were they, however even if I did have our caretaker’s ID card, he wouldn’t let me take the risk of going to the dispensary. The dispensary started offering drive-thru pickup & since you paid by credit card, you could pick up at a window with no physical connection… Delivery was convenient for our mother, & myself. They would drop off the product, text mom to let his guess the marijuana was outside, & the budtender wouldn’t leave until they took inside it; Once the pandemic wound down, so did the amount of local suppliers that were offering door side delivery. I suddenly realized how many people were infirmed or elderly & had depended on that delivery service. I talked to some people I knew & told them that if they could continue with the delivery services, many people would be glad to pay a service charge. I knew mom would pay extra to have his marijuana products delivery continued. Last week, the people I was with and I gained a flyer in the mail announcing the medical marijuana dispensary was going to beginning up delivery service again! My mom was glad to hear the news, & I wondered if I had made any influence on the director that talked to the owners of the medical marijuana dispensary.
