The food was not as fantastic as I hoped, but the service was excellent
My fiance and I went to the opening of a brand new and current restaurant. I got reservations from a contractor acquaintance of mine that was on the job. She was one of the top crew members that built the restaurant plus got things ready for opening night. She scored a bunch of free tickets plus provided two to my fiance plus I. The restaurant is situated downtown in another section that is up plus coming. The restaurant turned out to be situated on the other side of the street from a marijuana dispensary. My fiance plus I were seated right next to the front of the restaurant plus my associate and I could see people moving in plus out of the marijuana dispensary all night long. The parking lot for the weed dispensary was tied up plus there were lots of lights on outside. The odor of marijuana was so strong that I could odor it inside of the restaurant. It wasn’t an unpleasant experience, but the odor of marijuana was something that I would mention in the review if I was a restaurant critic. The food was not as fantastic as I hoped, but the service was excellent. The manager plus the staff worked on everyone plus made sure that my associate and I were cheerful. If the food had been a lot better, I would actually give the restaurant four stars instead of just three. A much better chef might be able to make some variations to the food menu to liven it up a bit, but the chef that night was particularly boring plus basic.
